About the Agency



The National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency is a government body of a special nature, placed under the tutelage of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises. It manages a mechanism with an economic approach, aimed at supporting project holders in creating and expanding micro-enterprises in the production of goods and services, with the goal of generating wealth and sustainable employment opportunities. The Agency’s tasks focus on the following core activities

Training

Through its training programs, the Agency aims to promote and spread the entrepreneurial thinking among young people by organizing training sessions, in collaboration with its partners, within Entrepreneurship Development Centers, on skills and knowledge related to entrepreneurship and the creation and management of micro-enterprises

Accompaniment

The Agency ensures support to idea holders and owners of investment projects in micro-enterprises at all stages from the conception of the entrepreneurial idea to the launch of the micro-enterprise, and even beyond

FINANCEMENT

The Agency grants financial subsidies according to various financing formulas, in collaboration with its partners from the public banking sector, in addition to tax privileges to the beneficiaries of the Agency's mechanism, in accordance with the legislative regulation in force


The Agency and its mechanism have recently undergone significant and important developments, reflecting a series of reforms aimed at a radical shift from a purely administrative approach in processing files to a coherent economic approach, in addition to improving efficiency and performance in management, particularly regarding financial risk management, as well as raising awareness of entrepreneurial thinking and enhancing the skills and competencies of young people. The aim is to encourage the creation of high-performing micro-enterprises that are resilient and generate sustainable added value in the national economy.

The National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency comprises 51 wilaya agencies, as well as many branches distributed across the national territory, with more than 170 local branches. In addition, there are presence points through more than 200 Entrepreneurship Development Centers, distributed across various universities, institutes, and schools in the higher education sector, as well as institutes and institutions in the vocational education and training sector.
